I feel sorry for those of you living up on the moors/higher hills than where I am in Warminster, it's most definitely better the lower you

go today - I drove out of fog/drizzle on my way to work in Trowbridge and back into it on my way home! Mind you it was still very dull there!

SERIOUSLY FOGGY HERE IN NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE.

Just confirming other comments from the region, I believe people should pay attention to the following, in relation to the FOG.

Indeed, scarily so in Newbury, West Berkshire too. Down to roughly 100m or so already. I seriously hope this clears for those commuting later this afternoon and evening.

yep, what a dreadful last couple of days, real autumnal weather with drizzle, chill winds & plenty of mist/fog.....Drove down the Fosse Way this afternoon, and it wasn't a pleasant drive with general low visibility & occasional dense fog patches

Bright start today, with some patchy high level cloud which won't last long once the sun gets up & running.

Certainly a better looking skyline from Radstock this morning with the cleaner air mass now replaced the dirty air of yesterday away. Not a lot of rain overnight just 0.2mm. Pleasant enough currently in 9.7C temperatures at the moment and a light Westerly drift.

Yes a much earlier clearance than anticipated so it should be a lovely day, hopefully the next pulse running up the front wil stay

far enough to the S/SE to prevent outflowing cloud from spoiling the sunshine.

What temperatures did others record overnight? It rose to 11.2c after being in single figures all day and 9.9c at 22.00 last night

and has fallen back to 8.6c now.
