Hi mark

Last night fri showed the block had already retreated which is why I did not post it.

I ecpect tomorrow night the sat chart will show the block still over us. It will take a huge amount from the atlantic to shift it

On the colder side of the ensembles but also not without support

Funny enough people say the 18z is the pub run and ignore it

What I have noticed is the 18z seems to be the one that will be used to show a pattern shift. The other runs show milder versions then start to reshow the pattern change a few runs later.

For what its worth I'm expecting a much colder 2nd half of november:-)

I can't sleep and was bored, so I thought I would dig out another few photos for your perusal. This one is taken from Camber Sands. A very promising sky which produced.....nothing !

Morning all! Well what a mild night that was. Didn't drop below 11c until about 5oclock this morning. Now temp gradually going down and currently 9.2c. Just wondering why the temp is going down now. Is it because the skies are clearing?

Edit: Oh poor you Angel. Hope you can take it easy today, and get well soon. x

I saw similar clouds this morning, at the place I've visited for the last three sunrises.

Lined up the shot, pressed the camera button, then nothing... About a 1/4 of a second later I realised I'd left my camera batteries on charge!doh.gifdoh.gifwallbash.gif

Raced back home, retrieved batteries and returned, to take a few pictures, but it was too late for the deep reds.doh.gif

Oh dear. Here's a tip; always have a spare set of batteries. One set on charge and other in camera. That's what I do anyway. :)

It wasn't a completely wasted trip, but I wasn't happy with myself driving back to pick the batteries up, particularly as they weren't fully drained anyway.doh.gif

I took another lens down there today and took a few different shots (although still a variation on a theme) I also had a few ideas too, for the next couple of weeks, especially as the sun is rising further and further south at the moment.

I know there was talk on the BBC forecasts this morning, of an incursion of drier air into the south east of our area tomorrow morning. If this happened, wouldn't it be likely to lead to a sunnier interlude, even if for the very short term?

Seems like thee may be less cloud as tomorrow moves on, but not a wholly clear and sunny picture according to GFS:

wxcode2.gif

But the MetO show something more encouraging!
