hi gtltw

we need a good dollop of snow next weekend

that will calm you down smile.png

ensembles to view when drunklaugh.png

I'm fine JP, its just that I can't help feeling frustrated about these annual events in one part of the UK or the other. Then all you hear about from the politicians is.................................

Right, enough of that.

Enjoy the ride lads n lasses. hi.gif

Just staggered back from the Hornchurch British Legion after yet another brandy abusing evening. Almost outdoor badminton possibilities, calmer than a Sloth on Tramadol out there on the London / Essex border. A balmy 8.7 degrees. I think it needs some ice in it. Cheers.

Actually I was asleep on the sofa after having enjoyed a rather lovely day out and a wonderful pub lunch blum.gif

Before I go, something odd has truly happened in Newbury. Well, maybe not in actual fact.

The Air Pressure dropped to 987.6hpa at 0033GMT and is as of now, still falling rapidly (wrong description, you silly machine?) above that at 989.4hpa right now. whistling.gifcc_confused.gif

The above must have occurred at the passage of the surface low. clap.gif

61 MPH Gust recorded at Headcorn Aerodrome in mid-Kent at 01:00. Not even on the southern flank yet which is concerning!

You get that feeling about this one..............!

80 MPH gusts inland East Anglia tomorrow morning............. 90 MPH coastal anyone??? Cause that's where I think this is heading!

Those in NE Norfolk really do need to batten down the hatches...... violent gusts here in a few hours!!!

FPS

This seems to have fired up VERY quick, as described earlier, i put on headphones to listen to music about half an hour ago, and took them off to hear howling gusts, which seem to be vibrating the house....

I also seem to have a draught coming from somewhere which is forcing itself thru something and sounding like a kazoo lol

Temporary lull here, but still 17mm of rain fallen since 12pm saturday. Just outside the region, some heavier stuff moving and developing from the Oxford direction and expect the winds to start strengthening now.

Ive been radar watching for the last 1/2 hour and that spiky looking rain band heading towards London has arrived here with a vengeance now. Near horizontal torrential rain, and its woken up the neighbours dog. Very nasty out there now.

No one staying up with me to witness this beasties strength? Keeps cranking up here, judging by the 65mph gusts recorded along central southern coasts already and a pressure of 987 i am guessing this is more violent than met office predicted.
