The showers cleared around lunch time with sunny spell developing. The evening saw a few light wintry showers moving down from the north-west.

No precip in this area earlier but the front brought a very dull start, however an increasing NNW wind around 09.00 chased the cloud away, increased the cold feel and it's now a sunny, cold day.

Clear, cloudless sky, just above freezing, no wind. Snow cover intact, hard frost overnight. Windscreen scraping took more graft than yesterday.

Find that severity of windscreen scraping correlates well to how baltic it is !

Pavements and roads prior to getting onto main roads are all ice rinks.
