I do weather updates all year for my work colleagues etc one of them recently added to the distro - put the basic iPhone weather app in front of me today trying to tell me what the weather was going to be - LOL - I let them off gently...

Ha ha I had something similar this evening, I had been trying to remember what I'd read here last night and one of my colleagues got straight onto his weather app and said "no snow" and smirked!!!! As much as I don't want snow as it affects our income massively it's outta my control and I have to just accept it could be beans on toast this christmas day lol

The snow that we might get tomorrow morning, is this going to be from the showers that over Wales at the moment? Heavy rain here at the moment, but looking at the radar this should clear in the next couple of hours

No I believe it's what is coming down from Scotland currently.

Back from a birthday celebration down my local. Pretty soaked through after walking through heavy rain and breezy weather, but I'm home so couldn't care less.

I guess the cold weather is still on for next week? I won't look now, but would be surprised if things have changed.drinks.gif

I've noticed that this thread had a five star rating after 2 votes, but now has a three star rating after 4. Simplistically (without roundings) a couple of trolls have rated this thread as one star. I say foxtrot oscar you losers! I'll give it a five star rating in a moment to help take it to its rightful place!biggrin.png

This just posted in the Model thread from Ian (fergieweather) with regard to early next week. biggrin.png

"Just perusing some bothersome-looking new output from MOGREPS-15 & UK4 (extended) snow & temperature progs by Tuesday-Wednesday. Suffice to say that with up to 5-10cm snow accumulation shown for fair swathe of E/SE areas into Tuesday, some on the forum will find it a matter of excitement. Commuters wouldn't... V widespread overnight mins -2 and below. Frigid. Shortwave running S Tuesday causing some trouble, we reckon.. at this range at least."

I guess you're nowhere near Weybourne then... You need to update your profile to let people know where you are.

MT8_London_ens.png

i can call fi on the 14th which is good

very good agreement to then

gfs main run goes loopy around 15th

not surprised

remember the rain spikes at the bottom do not look impressive

but do not need a lot of precipitation where snow is concerned against rain

i am happy tonight

especially with what ian fergusion has just said

thanks jezzer

Tomorrow morning is looking increasingly interesting, NMM has once again upgraded the potential on the 18z, albeit showing sleet (it showed sleet yesterday, we all know what happened)

IF it does fall as snow instead of the rain/sleet mix forecasted, there's the potential for 2-5cm quite widely considering how long it takes to clear!

Is this going to happen soon? I personally hope not, I love this thread some great people, even though I am probably the most western member.

Hopefully not Mark, the majority of regular contributors seem to feel the same as you so we will see how it goes....I personally agree, there are some lovely people on here and a great atmosphere so it would be a shame to split things up.

Time for a new thread, please have your boarding passes ready…….
