Car park at work is deadly and I've just tried opening the grit bin to find it's padlocked and no one has a key - what's the point of that then???? I think it needs 'engineering' off :winky:

So did anyone get any snow at all then? (even out of the fog?)

Although I haven't seen any falling, on my drive to work the ground was very thick in white in places - too thick to be frost.

Morning all. :)

Drove to work in the clear and cold. I'm glad to say that the freezing fog has gone from here. I saw some quite picturesque scenes on the way in, due to the rime it's left behind.

Here are a couple of pictures of the grounds at work. They don't show the rime at its best tbh, but just to show that we did have the fog.

Very weird in this part of Essex. We have no frost and the ground is actually wet.

Up the road it's white everywhere.

But there's actually snow flakes coming down, I presume this is from the thick fog currently overhead. On my way back from work just now, 2 miles down the road and it was crystal clear.

-4.0°C on the driveway as I was scrapping the screen and down to -6.0°C on the outskirts of Benny Hill this morning, but clear of fog thank goodness. Glad I ticked the heated-seats option box!!

How are we all today then?

Always seems to be the coldest spot in the SE, why build an airport near there??!!!!

Ohhhhh yes.... :whistling:

It's like building the uk's largest airport in a location prone to fog!

Of course, they only recently moved the weather station from Redhill Aerodrome to Charlwood due to its very low readings in a frost hollow!

(As every local knows, the coldest place nearby is Redhill station's platforms!)

Morning Coast, on the M25 near Heathrow at 7:30 or so there was a dusting of settled snow and then, for a brief moment, I drove through falling snow which was gone almost as it started. It was beautiful, strange and fleeting.

I think we better have a new thread shortly? Hold tight while I go and warm up and scrape the ice of a new one for you all!
