Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England :

Hampshire, West Sussex, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Southampton & Surrey

Valid from: 1800 on Sun 30 Dec 2012

Valid to: 1800 on Mon 31 Dec 2012

A spell of wet, very windy weather will affect the whole of the UK later Sunday and during Monday.

Many western and northern regions can expect persistent rain, heavy at times, later on Sunday and during the first part of Monday, particularly over high ground. The rain will clear eastwards from these areas by Monday afternoon, but at the same time extending eastwards across southern areas of England, perhaps not clearing some southern counties of England until evening.

The public should be aware of possible disruption, particularly to travel, and also of the potential for localised flooding.

Issued at: 1207 on Sat 29 Dec 2012

rofl.gif Don't get yourself going before this Atlantic conveyor of rain and wind has calmed down.

Not worth going into the MOD thread then, to check out the imminent easterly? smiliz39.gif

Hope you all had a wonderful christmas. Well I'm defiantly guaranteed snow in 2013. I've just booked a 4 day trip to Lapland next December. My children are counting down the sleeps already! It's going to be a long wait. Just hope we get some of the white stuff here soon. Have a good day all.

Well it's a bit breezy this morning.

I really do hope 2013 is an awesome year for weather. My dream scenario would be a snowy January with a few days off work for playing. A long hot summer for BBQ's and enjoying the beautiful countryside, interspersed with several huge old MCS of the old days and then a lovely autumn with warm days and chilly nights for snuggling on the sofa.

Well it does appear to keeping its shape away from the more southern counties. However, when the squall passed my location about half an hour ago, it was just a damp squib.

Thames is up even more on my trip to Walton, wind has blown down a construction fence into the road and the rain came down horizontal at one point. I like this kind of weather with the possible thundery and strong showers to follow. One thing I don't like is cost of the weather. So please stay safe people and don't enter flood water!!!! Only if there is a pirate ship floating by may you hop on :D

Very dark here and very windy. And it's just started to rain. I must be the only one who loves it like this. I love wind, the stronger the better.

Something very wild and wet went through here about an hour ago, it was black as night and the road was like a river...back to the normal grey and lighter rain now but it was exciting while it lasted angel.gif

Blowing a hoolie in Brighton. Looking out of the flat the sea is grey, topped with dirty white, and is churning like overcooking porridge in a cauldron. I'm not sure if it's raining or whether it is sea spray being carried horizontally by the gale. The wind is howling around making the sort of sound that you would criticise a sound engineer for cooking up on a horror film as being too unrealistic!

Time to venture out, I think!
