All the signs are that we are heading for something exciting in the SE & EA so dust off your sledges and get ready to ride the Coasta run ….

post-10773-0-58374100-1357764207_thumb.j

Just a few things to remember:

No physical confrontation with fellow members (eye gouging, slapping, biting, etc)

No tampering with other peoples sledges (failure to comply may lead to the confiscation of your sledge)

No victory celebrations which include naked snowangel making or any form of indecency

Please note: full moon sledging actually means tobogganing at night!

But most of all take care and have fun angel.gif

Cold only T+48 from reaching our shores now!

Plenty of snow potential from Saturday onwards and temperatures will struggle by the weekend:

ECM ensembles great tonight, interestingly the mean never falls below -6 after Sunday. At the moment I'd say a cold spell lasting till Tuesday at the very least is likely. Hopefully GFS can join the party again!

P.S I wonder if it would be a good idea to put our locations in our signatures for the time being??

Really clear here tonight. Good for star gazing. You can actually see the Orion belt! But bloody cold though! (Just as I like it)

That's what people did a year or 2 back when they turned them off.

Not sure if that then slowed down things though that way or not so that they had to turn off signatures -)

Yes I do remember a few forum functions being turned off a couple of winters ago due to high traffic numbers. A good sign I suppose of incoming cold weather! biggrin.png

I wonder if someone from the forum could confirm they are switched off to save the load on the servers at this busy time.

Sorry just seen what someone has been said, it's a shame that has to go as it's very useful at these times of interesting weather when reports start coming in.

Does anybody else feel apprehensive about all this snow/cold/ssw ? We are only 2 and a half days away from presumed snow beginning and the "Beast from the East blah blah"

December really knocked the stuffing out of me forecast wise, even new channels like Sky said it was coming and we all know it went Pete Tong.

I feel this could end up being a just look out the window job.

Haha I saw that....

I just heard about the snow next week, my brain didn't want to absorb the uncertainties ... Haha :-)

Great times though, just need that bl**dy GFS to get its act together now!

It is one of the best ecm run I have seen now as the ensembles from ecm agree. :-)

Evening John. Yes, it was epic, particularly good for our region at face value. Now the nerve shredding begins awaiting the GFS 18z. Come on pub run, do your job!

Fantastic charts from the ECM operational and good support from the ensembles but I'm not

I'm not from the forum obviously but I can guarantee that they have been turned off to save bandwidth / reduce the load on their web servers as there have been posts by the mods stating this elsewhere and the same thing happened last time for the same reason.

They also turn off the number of users online.
