For those unsure on Where to go, I'd recommend checking both......

However, I'd Say Sussex, Kent, South Essex, London for the SE

Then N Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs, E Beds for EA,

We're all grownups, so please feel free to place yourself wherever you feel Geographically appropriate....

No it didn't

The one that was on BBC 1 did just now. Maybe a light dusting from the first frontal system but the second one was all rain for our region with the snow further north.

Im gunna provide some evidence for why most of the people in this thread (Essex, South and East London, Surrey, Kent and Sussex) should be looking after monday for more significant snow.

This should make your mouth water if snow and showers is what you want. Would provide frequent and heavy snow showers in the areas mentioned. (Cold uppers, tight isobars and a long fetch off the North sea.) This is the UKMO by the way.

Ecm shows much the same.

GFS chart is not quite as good and shows the possible easterly a day earlier.

Stupid question time, when does the cold air arrive?

Just does'nt feel proper cold yet

try and do the fax charts and see what these say

tomorrow looks mainly dry

weak easterly wind aound anglia way

strong around the south east

light showers of snow are possible for the far south east

monday night looks bitterly cold

staying mainly dry

freeezing fog and temps between -3 to-6

monday

starts dry

during the afternoon from 2pm onwards the front from the north west

hits the south east

now the warmer mix of air in my eyes is way to the west of london

expect whats hits from that to be snow

i will point out that the front does look weaker than last night

monday night

-6 to -8 uppers

fully under 528 dam air

heavy snow and very cold

sub zero temperatures

tuesday

snow showers some heavy throughout the day

sub zero temperatures

winds east to north east

I don't think many on this thread will complain!

I see people are worrying about Monday... This is the first time that I have seen people taking gfs close range snowfall forecast seriously in 9 years on here. Go for one of the high res close range models like the NAE... It may still change but I am increasingly confident that for Reigate, at least, it will be snow!
