I honestly think this event will end up being nothing. There is just not enough ppn coming into our area when the temps are low and then the ei be plenty when temps raise.

It is a vicious circle. However I don't think anyone really knows at this moment. The back end of the week could surprise us.

Clear skys not such a bad thing really, it let the temp drop to -1 here about an hour ago. You want to be cold for when the ppn finally gets here.

Hi JP : have been looking at all of those sites myself - am still optimistic of snow for London - maybe not much but I still think there is a bit to play for

If you check out the latest pressure chart here: http://xcweather.com (go to pressure - top right)

If you look at the animation, It shows that the ppn in the midlands had nowhere to go so fizzled out, but the NW'ly has finally won-out so it should start heading towards us with more vigour... and less decay of the ppn as it moves towards us. (Famous last words eh?)

Whats your ASL there? Your near the park that heads up to Stone church I beleive?

Yeah looks finally taking a small jog west, maybe some PPN anyway
