Rain and sleet arrived now.

Still snow was welcome had a chance to see my first flake of the winter.

Now for areas London & West let's hope that this band pushes away quickly and give a chance for everything to dry up as we may be in for a suprise overnight and tomorrow with first a wrap of the remaining lp which could bring snow & of course beefy showers tomorrow.

Snow is a bit heavier in Reigate at 110m asl, would say it is now at the upper end of light. Very fine flakes. Dewpoint continues to rise but still no problems at -2.5c. Temperature getting a bit marginal though - now +1.7c. hPa still falling, currently at 998

Nothing really settling, other than on the little bits left from last night, but nice to watch.

EDIT: gone much lighter again in last couple of minutes and temp up again, 1.8c, and dewpoint up to -2.4c Could do with a heavier burst to get that temperature down!

DOUBLE EDIT: I said heavier burst please, not stopping altogether! Please pay attention.

Little bits of snow grain starting in Gidea Park, RM2 as I speak...radar looks to be 'interesting' for the next hour or two :)

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?
