[Evening thunder]

A bit of light-moderate snow in Egham with fine flakes has now turned to light sleet or rain. the 0.5cm dusting this morning has pretty much all gone now.

shame all this wasnt delayed by 6hrs.. lower evening temps would of helped us. anyway still just holding on to the bigger flakes of snow/bit of sleet falling heavier now

I will be in Epsom area tonight, any likelihood of the wrap around bringing a few inches there?

Light snow at Canary Wharf, but fairly consistent fall rate for 30 mins now.

Strange, we have heavy snow but its not settling! I can understand not settling on gritted areas but its not even settling on areas not gritted hmmm!

never thought i'd say it but my optimism level is running low. snow turns to rain, mid-week snow chances for me are fading away, some stunning charts in the models will inevitably fizzle away to uninspiring or snow will fall everywhere but here.... meh....

Looking out the 9th floor in docklands it looks pretty steady and flakes have got bigger over the past 15 mins....

Any reports from Ealing London W5?? - surely this lot is settling on the lying snow from last night there? In the office in W10 where it is snowing moderate-heavy but not settling (no lying snow here)
