Well that's see what the GFS says for Friday, better? worse? Soon find out. I think we got a good chance. Still a tad to far out to be more certain. That's hope it stays where is it, good chance of snow then. Wonder if the warmer air will get delayed anymore.

All to play for. Wednesday will be good as it will creep into the NAE, NMM etc..timeframe. IF it stays the same of cause.

Here are the various fronts moving through and expected times:

That's pretty, not a bleeding clue what any of it means.....

Today has been one of those when I wished I could be a gardener in the Southern Hemisphere; it's cold, wet and blinking horrible under foot.

friday is too far away, can bet changes before then, best to not go past 48h even the 72h range has been changing.

Those showers across Wales may filter down across Somerset in to Dorset as there is some strong-ish PVA projected across these areas later on, obviously it depends on dew points and such ..

Indeed but even then I'd say it's best not to go even 24 hours out IMHO, when it comes to snow.

But as I countlessly suggested, without a chance, we have no chance. Without a lottery ticket, you cannot win the lottery.

THE GFS 12z IS NOW ROLLING GUYS N GALS. OF EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANCE WILL BE THE GEFS ENSEMBLES AND THEN THE ECM AND METO OUTPUT.

Will there be a short-term upgrade in the meantime, will Thursday/Friday night's low remain in the same area, will the weekend and beyond get up to near seasonal temperatures for all or will it stay cold.

GAME ON.

The only thing i've seen, is a response he sent to someone asking if we are due snow at the weekend:

Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather"@LittleGardenCom: are we in line for a dump of the white stuff @ the weekend? Have heard yes and no!" It has potential....uncertain

We will need to wait a few days as the front could easily not reach us at all or go too far east and turn to rain again. Something to keep an eye on anyway.

This was the last post on the reliable timeframe from what I can see.

Snow showers tonight as mentioned coming from small-scale baroclinic feature(s) running SSE across Wales down into W Country.... WBFL associated with this circa 400m but we expect some settling anywhere 200m+ beneath these. Good support in 4km modelling.

Yes in your back yard, that is pretty much bang on, over the next 48 hours. So I suppose that spells near average/ slightly below Temps by day and frosts by night. Futher East though, the uppers are near -9, so lets hope that continues and eventually we can feed into it. Looking further ahead in the run, just what will it do with that precipitation come Friday?

All quiet in mod thread, nothing for ten mins!!!

Probably because if the charts verify, the SW looks to benefit for a change rather than the SE.........

GFS is fine regarding Friday, snowfall across much of West Country.

Again, Friday is shown to be a significant snowfall day.

Haven't got time to post charts, but relax, GFS is fine up to Saturday.

Don't look at detail, look at the trend and the trend is the same.
