Maybe an Outflow Boundary thrown off by the front earlier causing this convective energy! ?

Hadn't considered that. It would explain how they've kept their energy over 200miles of cold land.

was amazing ,what would have caused that? It got so windy ?

A classic case of evaporative cooling, the heavier the precip the more chance it falls as snow, the more weak/less intense it is the more chance with current uppers it will fall as snizzly rubbish

More sleet snow alternative mix here.

current wind directions would have all that stuff coming in from theeast coast up north across our whole region..With what ever is firing up those showers..Could be an intresting night.. IMO

I do hope so, but the showers seem to be losing their punch now. Also, I'm surprised how high dew points still are. I guess milder Atlantic air must be in the mix with these showers.

Personally I love set ups like this. This is nature at its best, serving up suprises when you least expect them. Is it any coincidence Im listening to Bad Moon Moon Rising on my I-Pod.........dirol.gif

Dew Points and temps should start to fall away soon as the low heads South East, Anti Clockwise, ie,from the NE.smile.png

With the circulation round the low pressure that storm could do the tour of Kent, Essex and London and be back with you in Brighton in a couple of hours LOL! acute.gif

We've had a heavy mix of rain and snow in Haywards Heath for the past hour or so, it's stopped now but it looked really pretty in the garden light, like lots of mini fireworks shooting down. I've never seen it like that before, in tried to video it but it looks too dark on the playback.
