PPVK89.gif?31415friday

very cold 1-2 degrees

will be a massive windchill as a bittery cold and strong north north easterly

looks dry

That's not a north easterly, it's a south easterly backing slight southerly

The ppn off the east cost looks interesting. Any chance a Thames streamer could set up?

No at least not during the early hours

Plus I should be starting to see snow getting closer to my area by then. Looking good at movement for my area hope I get lucky!

Nearly no wind here, temp gone up to 1.1c dew point up to - 1.6c .

Temp has increased as it's coming more off the north sea and increasing precipitation rates in the area ;)

If that's the case then hello slushfest. Daytime temps needs to stay at 0C or below. Better chance if the fronts stay to our S.

We'll start seeing milk freezing out the top of bottles on doorsteps soon, a childhood memory from 1983! I was 10 then and remember one memorable spell of snow that I thought would never end. The cat ended up tunnelling out of the cat flap through about 2ft of snow

Ah yes memories !! I remember getting the milk bottles in and finding that birds had pecked the foil tops off the bottles for a drink. The snow was so deep they obviously couldn't find anything else to eat and were starving.

Yup, I can read cheers :) just saying that daytime maxima of 2C are no good for snow IMHO, slushy mess not my idea of fun. Keep those maxima below freezing and game on!

Hi there everyone, Are you all sitting down? Reason why MetO are showing heavy snow over the SE on Friday/Saturday so early in the week is because they are confident this event WILL occur biggrin.png

At present, ppn incoming from the North Sea on a variant E to NE wind flow will penetrate slightly inland clap.gif

The very cold air mass is very dominant right now which indicates it could be around longer cold.gif
