Unfortunately the flow off the continent, although plenty cold enough for snow now, is just too slack. We need the isobars to tighten and create some instability in the N.Sea. A few flurries are possible, especially the further east you are. But not amounting to a great deal as it stands.

Just one major problem with that Meto Chart - Who would like to guess what!

It looks a great chart just viewing it but 1 vital ingredient missing I feel!

Bit weird at home (Raynes Park/Motspur Park) this morning. Went out to the car at 6.45am to see if in needed de-icing, no ice, got in it at 7.10am, iced up !

Surbiton at 8am had 'easy scrape' ice on the car but the back door was stuck shut for a while! Here in Uxbridge the clouds are grey with a hint of fluff and 1c on the car temperature reading. Have a nice day everyone.

Yeah winds look too slack, as Shrimper says the trough is in an ideal place, if those damn isobars were closer those showers could be blown well into the SE, And that is what most signals were for Wednesday over the weekend, just not getting the rub of the green in this cold spell!

Would expect some showers for Caister, Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Ipswich etc etc, but wether these fall as snow on the coast or a wintry mix is still up for debate, could be one of those annoying days where the showers look great just offshore but as soon as they come inland lose their intensity.

Would really love to see a better angle of attack, East North Easterly or straight Easterly for us down here, looks great for Norfolk and Suffolk again though!

And to be fair to them, they pretty much missed out on the spectacular falls in 2009 and 2010 due to the wind not being favourable for them!
