Freezing fog here is depositing snow/ice crystals, needless to say it is a true winter wonderland out there this morning. -5.6C

It seems to be frosty and cloudy here in Egham, not sure of the temp but Heathrow never gets especially cold and was -1.8C at 7am.

At home in east Devon it's 2.1C after being above 2C virtually all of the night since 10:30pm after a min of -0.6C in the evening. There's one thing missing from this cold spell there, notable cold. It reached 6.7C there yesterday.

Partly cloudy overnight but still managed to achieve a minimum of -6.7C here, which is the lowest in January at this site since 1987.

It is now mostly cloudy with occasional sunny spells. The current temperature is -0.7C, so still a good chance of an ice day and the lowest maximum again, since 1987.

Its still well below freezing here so the first ice day for a little while seems highly likely, not checked my stats; it fell below zero at 1720 yesterday the 'high' today at 1505 of -1.9C and its now dropped to -2.4C. The fog cleared by 1200 with the overcast and mist thinning to 7/8 St at times.
