Yes - there are NO mild runs- just variations on PPN totals-

** REMEMBER THE INCREASE OF PPN FROM THE SOUTH!**

Yes I have seen that. Fair to say the further North and East you are, the smaller the piste depths?

I will keep my expectations down to 2-5cm for SE Essex. Anything more is a bonus.

We are on the cusp of one of the best falls of snow for many years and possibly leading into more and more!

BUT things could go very wrong and there are signs of that happening ( weaker front / not pushing as far east ), even the mention of rain for the weekend. But different models different possibilities smile.png

That good `eh?

Roll on friday!

I keep checking on here . Earlier I was doing the snow dance thinking whitstable was getting snow , now I'm just confused as there seems to be concerns that it may miss south east coasts ? Fingers crossed and obvs will know more come Friday :-)

Yep very true, this should happen in the eveing hours, maybe just in time for rush hour.

The only real question is how far does this heavier stuff feed? I think most places in this area will be south enough not to need to worry too much about that. Still time for that aspect to change.

Here is the WRF total accumlated snow in cms upto 60hrs, so roughly half of the way through:

Anywhere between 2-5cms, maybe locally upto 7cms. Thats not bad for a half way point, though totals for further east have longer to catch up to those further west.

Gfs had the warm up a couple of days ago on the 19th. Now its the 23rd according to these. The main gfs run goes to an outlier on the 21st

Some nice cold runs in there

Think have to call fi on the 21st at present

Just plain ridiculous!!! Everything is telling me that it'll be so cold here by then (if it's not already!) that we will get a good couple of days of snow..... but having been burnt last time these sorts of things make me a bit wriggly!!!x

The PPN from the south will just be enhanced by the eastern/ NE side of the low forcing more moisture north north west- Ideally we would want the low to be a tad deeper- but hey ho-

I would imagine snow from the front friday eve / early hours then some sort of 'pulse' from the south to enhance it...

no point in dishing out specific forecasts for loactions at the moment- but I guess we could say ALL should get a covering at the very bare minimum...
