Well I think it would be fair to make it Monday 9pm it would then give those in the East a chance to catch up on the West otherwise it could be all over by Midnight tonight lol BUT those in East need to measure before Sunday incase of slight thaw.

i can't see it weakening at the moment either. What are you guys talking about. Are you just guessing it will?

I'm looking at the gaps behind it down near the South Coast, also looking at the heavier stuff on radar it's reducing as passes Tunbridge Wells

P.S Hope I'm totally wrong, nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be wrong.

But encouraging its starting to snow heavy again in he West, Bristol for example. (The Reload)

Indeed that is on the back edge of the frontal system which is always likely to hold up the best along the frontal zone. As I said I'm not saying there won't be more snow, just that the heavier stuff will start to slowly die away over the next few hours.

The whole lot should start to shift south very soon as the parent low starts to head southwards through Ireland and out into the Atlantic again, that is about as far NE as it should go now. Hopefully that heavier pluse on the backside will ramp up the front a little.

Still probably some areas have a solid 12-18hrs of LIGHT snow, then after I think a streamer is a big chance followed by a frontal risk once again extending into the SE, but thats going to almost certainly be a nowcast situation I feel...E.Kent would almost certainly be best placed.

9am Monday - daylight would seem the better time to get it down to the precise mm!

If anything the front is moving back North-Westwards now, if you haven't got snow, it's probably game over for today. Less than half a cm here, what a load of rubbish

The Northern Part is shearing away and pivoting North and North Westwards, the Southern Part is breaking apart and precip is getting lighter.

In fact most of any precip on the eastern part is evaporating before it even reaches the ground so false returns are being shown.

Jeez. I wasn't expecting much out this way anyway. But crikey if that band doesn't do something rather spectacular over the next few hours over South Essex/N & E Kent etc. Then we will have the grand total of 0.0mm.

I feel an Ian Brown "WTF" moment coming...

Tbh Honest Tom I think Dan had at least a dusting so should go through if this bands weakens as expected, all down to any showers of course but currently Dan should go through!

Very gracious there Mr Sherman, although my snow wouldn't touch the bottom of a ruler yet. Shall we postpone judgement until Sundays dissapointment event!

Btw, at work in Croydon, still coming down steady outside my office.

Looks to be about 4 to 5 cms at a push.

Got to work (Bookmakers) until 9.30, thanks to horse racing at Dundalk in Ireland.

All horse race meetings this side of the Irish Sea have been abandoned!

Regards,

Tom.
