Count yourselves lucky that I am in Spain, if I was in the West Country, it would have turned to rain long ago with temperatures of 11C being forecast from Monday onwards :p

Ian looking a little "weathered out" on Points West. Exactly the same as most of us feel i reckon. Twitchings last night bought about a disturbed nights sleep, along with a busy "snowy" day today, I'm knackered.

Glad I don't have a TV forecast to do in a few mins!!

Also, he mentioned Sundays risk of the Low coming in from the east, and Mondays potential as well.

Again, not expecting anything too significant like today at this stage, but as we've seen this week, upgrades happen, so stay tuned folks.

Uh - for a good few today has been a virtual non-event so I hope to goodness it is nothing like today at all. I have rarely been as disappointed by a dead cert weather event as I have been today. There is virtually nothing left at all in Wellington - few bits of ice on the grass and that is it. For anyone SW of here I reckon they have had a washout day almost entirely, so we could do with some very big upgrades indeed for Sunday.

??

It's a really bendy road up the side of a very steep hill, it looks like a "W" shape on the map. A stranded car got shunted into someone's garden by an out of control 4x4.

excellant snowfall today. 4" of level snow. Blowing snow has also been seen today which is quite a rarity. Hoping for some more on sunday

Well Ian did his forecast for Sunday and interestingly the graphics showed snow as far west as the whole of dorset and north into somerset.....Looks like the Meto ENS had the snow further west as well.

Well, what a fantastic day here in East Dorset. And I have to say, hats off to the Met Office, I think they've done a superb job over the last few days, considering the difficulty of forecasting this type of weather.

Cold Tonight down to -2 to -5

Dry and cold saturday.

Only graphics for sunday, with ian saying its still uncertain but east wilts is a dead cert.

He then said he was to too knacked to go any further, as it has been so much hardwork already..

Not too bad.

Probably about as deep as a normal pint glass..

Say 3 inches maybe.

It wasnt very heavy most of the time and was mostly small fine fakes.

Would of been better with bigger flakes.

Most of the heavy PPN went north and south of here..

Yet still good.

Could of been better.

7/10

Hi all from a balmy Dartmouth- actually it isn't as it's pretty cold, about 4c.

Great to see Filton mentioned on national BBC for a 16cm snow depth measurement.

Looks like my locality was a sweet spot for snow, just as many other parts of our extended region.

Down here the snowline is Barnstaple, although higher regions such as dartmoor got hit.

Even the hills off the road from totnes to dartmouth are snow covered.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Sunday, who knows how that may develop in next 24hrs.

Meanwhile enjoy the snow and keep safe.
