The temperatures are finally falling here but only slowly. Currently bang on 2 degrees which is still way too warm for anything other than sleet at the moment

MOTO now put the heavy snow back till midnight or scunny. Suppose temps may be cooler if anything.

But extended the heavy snow till midday lol

Do they really know or is it just roll the dice n see what number they get????!!!!!!

Just been out, -0.3C and its very fine, more like sleet but its white, cold and settling so it'll do for now, quite heavy too.

Could have used any of the models for this, which all show a very similar picture. The precipitation for (West) Yorkshire was never modelled to hit here until 9ish and even then, not to be particularly heavy. The precipitation is due to pep up and stall overnight, with 1pm Monday still modelled to have heavy snow for most of Yorkshire. Although forecast, i truly believe that this event has been underestimated by the BBC et al !

It's very hard to tell as it's very light lol.The radar shows heavier precip coming our way soon though,so i think we will do ok in a little while.

2.0c here now in immingham, dew point -1c, weather station forecast symbol just flicked back to snow from rain, for what it's worth!

It's picking up now, got a darker patch on the radar, flake size increasing, getting heavier and starting to cover the main road
