Water birds in the snow/ice

The following photos were taken this morning at Warminster Park and lake.

1. A heron in the brook

2. A gull I have named Billy

3. A swan landing strip, I have never seen anything like this

4. Coots scurrying for cover

5. Most of the birds were in one part of the lake near the unfrozen end

6. However most of the lake is frozen with a fresh snow cover
