Shamelessly robbed from boards.ie, but that is one beautiful storm! A final salute to your Dad Pomeroy?

I haven't seen any forecasts or anything so wasn't aware that it was gonna be bad. Must go and catch up on things now. Completely lost interest when we missed out on the snow last week!

Last night our temperature soared to 9c!! Now dropped down to a chillier 4c, but bright and so lovely to see all the green grass again!

Well I would say that higher locations will be getting good snow out of these showers as we have moderate snow/sleet here at the minute but no chance of lying!

It feels colder out there today than it did in our recent 'cold' spell

Gale force westerly wind and heavy hail shower at present in temp of + 4.0 degrees

Nice to hear it is snowing in locations further north - high ground in some spots could get a covering before the next batch of rain spreads in later tonight / tomorrow

At work (Bookmakers), watching Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown, looks like everything but the kitchen sink in that wintry shower coming down, right now!

Cheers,

Tom.

Some colder uppers still in the mix so I think that's why we are seeing some wintery showers about. Pretty good for a WSW flow. Bodes well for any stronger Northerly flows we can get our hands on in the near future. (February)
