Changed now? Hope no more changes. The seem to be concern in the latest bbc forecast. Also email going round work this afternoon, expecting major disruption to flights tomorrow.

Just back from Spain - sitting by the Mediterranean in warm sun yesterday, sitting in Belfast today reading snow warnings. I see I'm going to have to do some catching up on the charts.

NI weather warning on Facebook! Add them and you will see! Lol. My hopes are away out the window! Think I'll head to the Glenshane, put up a tent and dig myself in for the night! Lol! Bottle of whiskey to go along with it to!

Ronan their first warning was stupid and made no sense. It was like kiddies art work. I'm sticking to the offical met office warning system

Exactly what I was about to say Beaufort ! Met office more reliable

Hmm I find that quite accurate at times. Think they said the red warning was just for high ground anyway, with amber and yellow for lower ground

Doesn't look good for me near the coast, but I'll be happy seeing some heavy wet snow and big flakes. If I'm lucky, maybe a temporary covering.

You might be ok Watcher as your on the North Down coast. With the winds from thr South East there will be less modification of lower levels.

Latest NAE precipitation totals over 70mm in Eastern Down. If that occurs and is all snow this would be a once in a genetation experience

True, I thought they were Easterlies but I haven't actually bothered looking at wind vectors lately. If it is SE winds then I have some shelter from coast. Still, I set my hopes low so it's more of a surprise.

Just had text from kids school that they may be closed tomorrow due to expected exceptionally severe weather.

At least the council are on the ball for once.

The anticipation is killing me, I may just go for a kip before it all starts. Must remember to clean windows a bit on outside, terribly dirty, obscuring my view of said lamppost.

No whiskey or beer for me, lack of funds. However, food and I've a drop of cider. That'll do, for now.
