Anybody explain this...

Why are Coventry, Warwickshire and East Midlands listed in red as a Thunderstorm warning?

Convection is very much in evidence in Lancaster, but is suppressed somewhat at present.

After quite a cloudy morning, it has been sunny with the odd spot of rain.

Strangely, feeling colder than that last couple of days.

Too cloudy to see anything, its been overcast all day with dark grey clouds and the odd shower, sometimes as in the past 15 minutes heavy.

Rain is better than nothing I suppose, just hope I get at least 1 thunderstorm this year, no point wishing for any more as its impossible.

Lots of very big, very heavy showers about. I've seen no lightning, heard no thunder - but I bet there's been some somewhere!
