According to the Convective Storm maps there is a big GREEN area over the UK which indicates Moderate Thunderstorms

My Strike Alert has just woke up and is detecting strikes 24-40 miles away

Could this be a good day for widespread Storms   :?:

Maybe.

Though we should not get our hopes up too much.

It is ok here at the moment, after heavy rain last night.

There is evidence of convection taking place here now.

They are probably mid or high level strikes inside the clouds.

Which is probably why you cannot see them, or hear any thunder.

Lancaster is obviously in the eye of the storm, as there's virtually no wind.

Cloudy, but sunny intervals are appearing and convective cloud is shooting up.

Very stormy here at the moment, overcast all morning with frequent heavy bursts of rain accompanied by squally gale force winds. Electricity went off breifly, so had to re-start computer :-x - perhaps to do with the amount of small branches being blasted off the trees out there.

Current temp: 15C

Pressure: 993 mb

RH: 86%

Returned home from shopping etc a little while ago to find my 6ft square fencing panels sitting horizontal rather than vertically :-x

Have been and ordered concrete posts and a few bags of ready mix cement....guess what i will be doing the weekend...It wont come down again :!:

Few showers here, some of them a little heavy but not amazingly, few gusts obviously ..enough to blow garden fence down
