Moderate frost slowly lifted thorough the early hours as cloud spread in from the west. The morning so far as been cloudy and dry, ground still hard with ice, though thawing.

There were further light showers overnight, possibly wintry. Clear spells in between with frost. The day dawned clear and frosty, low –0.8c with –3.1c on the grass. At observation, clear and frosty, feeling cold in the moderate west-north-west wind. Dry with sunny spells for the rest of the day, feeling colder than of late with frost persisting in the shade. The evening quickly turned cold with further frost.

Clear and cold until after midnight. Increasing cloud during the early hours brought a little light snow but this soon turned to intermittent drizzle.

Currently chilly and windy with intermittent light drizzle.

re your snow patches TM, driving over the 'short cut' to Sparrowpit last evening, coming back from Manchester Airport, there were still the odd patches from the drifts of 2 weeks ago!

Here, a frost early now cloudy with a breeze from the WSW and a temperature of 6.8C

Current temp 0.9C Wind - from the NE( what little there is of it) ,Snow, Visibility - about 1.2Km Depth of snow - about 7 cm Forecast from yr.no for this time was 4C and rain and wind from WNW. What has happened?

A cloudy and windy morning with periods of drizzle. The drizzle became light and intermittent during the afternoon and the wind gradually decreased to f4 by early evening.
