Interestingly those showers hitting the Fylde, Ribble Valley etc currently were over Eire, a couple of hours ago. The strength of the flow are firing showers across Eire into the Irish Sea and then into NW England. Keep an eye on those clusters leaving Ireland as they wax and wane to see what happens next.

A cluster is making its way across the Irish Sea towards the south of the region, another cluster crossing the Isle of Man towards Cumbria.

yeah it was crazy. I'm sure the spark jumped. I was looking outside with my hand on the windowsill and it sounded like a mega balloon pop not the rumbles you hear when distant'

A592 Kirkstone Pass is now closed in Cumbria due to snow, very prone spot though and quite elevated.

Can i point out once again the 850 temp and DP are not expected to fall until later in the evening

the areas that are seeing snow now is due to there altitude, snow will fall to lower ground later

There is another big chunk coming across the Irish Sea and following exactly the same track as the one just gone, if it keeps intensifying over the water like the last one did, I can't wait to see what we get this time.

I bet the big shower in the Irish sea could bring very very stormy winds with it. smile.png Hopefully some snow at the back edge of it. I think it will make landfall about 9ish.
