Woke up to a really fine coating of some surfaces but over the last 30 minutes been under fairly intense snow shower thats covered everything a little more... strong wind so it was whipping around! Light snow still...

A nice start to the day.

The area of snow we just head is heading for Telford/Wolverhampton

A very light semi-covering of snow here, and a few flurries. Lane is white, and only 1 vehicle so far to spoil it!

Just had moderate snow fall here. Think the winds become more favourable later but the uppers are higher so most likely rain

shockingly quiet on here, if I have had a snow flurry, must be 10 times more elsewhere, left everything white, first time I think ive ever seen a snow shower move in from the west

Had lots of snow so far this winter in SE Birmingham, although disruption to my school has been limited (1 early finish 1 day off). So my fingers are crossed for a big snow event sunday into monday as some models are starting to show. Does anyone here with model experience know what the percentage risk is for this event.

Cheers.

Wow, that's what we want asap, definitely no work with that much, out to play instead!

Metcheck is showing a rain / sleet event for Sunday - or am I reading it incorrectly?

Not necessarily, it may start as snow later this afternoon for the Mildlands but less cold uppers soon turn it to rain by this evening.

I gather from the model outlook thread that a warm sector has appeared to spoil the party on Sunday!

pesky warm sector! Anyway, another lovely day, blue skies, not as cold as I thought it might feel although the wind is chilly.

I'd have got away with it if it wasn't for that pesky warm sector.
