NAE does look good for the whole region on the accumulated ppn charts with 18mm near here by Monday morning. The other charts haven't finished coming out yet.

How much of it will be snow though!

18mm of rain is not good in my eyes

Now convert that into snow, one inch of water = 10 inches of snow roughly.

Tomorrow is just going to be a normal Sunday in Wigan , breakfast at 9 ish , Gym at 10, back home in time to get the tea prepared before sitting down to watch the mighty EFC do the double over Man Utd ...all of this will happen while it's raining outside

I really wouldn't take much notice of the GFS. There's broad agreement amongst the high resolution models, NAE \NMM show a very marginal situation.

Certainly doesn't look like it will lack for PPN, which seemed to be the case on some of the models this morning. What a shame it is not bumping into established cold air, we could have been looking at 24 hours of snowfall.

Isn't the 18z GFS known for having one too many? Hope it's right but i'm a little sceptical of any seriously disruptive snowfall.

I don't agree. I have watched the NAE fail 2/3 times this Winter with the GFS edging it.

P.S - This is the NW thread!! Ha ha.
