Well, after umpteen hours, snow is finally starting to settle on the bins and cars here in Reigate... Everything is dripping wet so I don't expect a winter wonderland in the morning!

I've known colder winters....but can't remember one with so many snowfalls. Looking nice here.

People talk about 1987 being a classic winter....it was freezing but most of the snow was to the south. I'd say tonight's snow is now equivalent to what we had in 1987!

I understand your frustration. Easterlies have been as rare as hen's teeth for many winters now. Oh for a January 1987 or February 1991. They always seemed to follow Ian McCaskill on the BBC so maybe they should bring him back like old FORTRAN programmers.

Snow continues not as intense, but that was 10,mins or so of very heavy snow. 2cms from that outburst....

In reply to John Mac; Junction 20. In the last few minutes the stretch between 20 and 21A now looks like this. If it keeps snowing at this rate for much longer.....
