Although today my not be a day of thunderstorms there could well be thunder, hail etc... within a heavy shower. Best chance of thundery showers around Midlands area but anywhere could catch one.

I am looking at the detector and quite a few strikes in the Channel . I think we may seem some widespread thunderstorms across the uk this afternoon so be prepared !

Just had big blinding flash of lightning and one mighty crash of thunder ,and i have to go out :cry:

we have a possible thunderstorm(prehaps 2)devolping very nearby me.The first shower is now got a very disticnt gust front and also some serious Mama!

I'm picking up a few strikes on my strike alert at the moment, but nothing else...

My new boltek is picking up strikes in the Maidstone / Sevenoaks area

Although the program hasnt classified it as a storm yet

Had a few sharpish gusty showers here and strike alert has been beeping quite a bit until about 30 mins ago

We've had some torrential downpours this afternoon at 2pm and 4pm

The first included a lot of hail - no thunder though

Because there's no topic I'll have to post it here. The sky is pitch black to the south and there have been a few loud rumbles of thunder
