Overnight Snow showers didn't turn up and instead skies cleared slightly to lead to the sharpest frost of the cold spell.

Temp -1.4C

cloudy but 1 or 2 very small gaps in the Sc sheet, lowest was -1.1C and its now 0.4C with a very light N'ly drift

After a few snow grains yesterday evening the rest of the night was dry and cloudy.

Currently dry and cloudy but brighter than recently as the cloud is mostly medium and high level stuff.

At 0900;

Another cloudy and dry night. Low –1.3c with –3.4c on the grass. At observation, cloudy and dry, ground frozen, evidence of a few snow grains on the ground.

Quite a different cloud type now with little if any Sc and 6-7/8 shallow Cu and glimpses of the sun which are very welcome after the last few dull and cold days. Even a VERY isolated snow flake seen!

Mostly cloudy with bright spells after a clearance overnight allowed a light air frost. Min Temp was -0.1C. No sign of any snow at all, not even a flurry.

Most of the day was dry and cloudy. There were a few brief glimpses of sunshine this morning and also a few snow grains or flakes from late morning into mid-afternoon but it was not until around 1730 that some more significant light snow showers arrived and gave a thin snow cover.

Had a few late snow showers giving a dusting much later than was forecast,temp isn`t very cold at the moment at 1.3c

Max today 2.3c with more sun than recently,still afew snow drifts left from the last cold spell,it felt very cold this morning out in the wind.
