Yep - I can't really remember the when the last 5 day forecast that showed some sunshine on it was. there's been the odd sunny interval/sun symbol for my home in Devon but that hasn't happened much like here in Surrey. if the cloud doesn't break this weekend this will be a contender for the most boring spell of weather I can remember, perhaps challenging a November 2011 spell.

At home in Devon skies actually cleared briefly to allow a minimum of -2.2C at 3:17, so falling to the just below -2C limit for this whole year so far..

Currently at home: 4.6C, 83% humidity, 1.9C dew point with a 7mph N wind gusting 14mph.

Here in Egham: overcast and grey, about 3-4C, feeling cold in a light to moderate NNE breeze.

Today is why I sometimes feel I should start an e mail petition for Parliament to be made to debate -

' that this country should fill in the North Sea!'

It would make little difference to the number if immigrants we get, at least in Doncaster.

But would make one hell of a difference to the temperatures here-sod the rare snowfalls from it!!
