Thick fog developed around 2030 yesterday evening and has persisted ever since. Came very close to an air frost last night despite the fog.

The last remaining snow drift visible from this site ( there are a few others within walking distance ) has now split into 3 parts.

The two largest bits are about 15m long, 20 cm wide and about 7 cm deep at the deepest part. This small patch of ground has had snow lying continuously since Jan' 14th.

the 2nd day with grey overcast conditions, temperature seems to have peaked at 5.7C, probably as 'low' as the expected cold weather next week!

Both of the previous two days got to 4.9C here- yesterday hovered at around 2-3C for most of the day but some hazy sunshine came through.

Today is a little warmer, with a max of 6.2C so far (currently 6.0) but overcast and misty with thick stratus- it's been that way ever since dawn.

Overcast, dull and damp. Thick fog overnight and first thing, but this cleared before a short spell of moderate rain. The rest of the day has been mainly dry.

Rather cold again with a max temp of 5.2C, exactly the same as yesterday. The min temp was 2.8C, so pretty close to average.

1.0mm of rain has fallen in total since midnight.
