Light snow showers on and off in Aber today, although places sheltered from the esaterly breeze actually feel quite warm in the sun.

Been snowing consistently for most of the afternoon in Newport. The type of snow that has spurts of heavier stuff, but even if continuous for 48 hours, still wouldn't settle. One thin covering would make this long winter for me drinks.gif

Yup, heavy here too, starting to settle. If only it were to stay like this for a few hours...

Is it me, or whatever seems to be coming down from Gloucestershire/ Herefordshire seems to be pepping up all the time? Guessing its convection, and will die out by the evening?

It's settling a bit here in Caerphilly.

I'm assuming it's just a little shower and I won't need to move my car to the end of my drive? My drive is steep and we like to stick the cars at the bottom when there's to be a bit of snow, as we can get a bit of speed up if we start sliding on it and there's a car opposite (that we have slid into once already)

Well what d'y'know! Even a few snow flakes blowing around in the wind in Tenby! good.gif

Crazy cold spell... just wish it had started 6 weeks earlier, for some real extremes (for this location, anyway). I appreciate it has been extreme, late March or not, elsewhere.

Next winter, I'll be hoping for a stratospheric warming event in Oct/Nov and the peak cold synoptics to arrive a few weeks earlier than this winter.

Really coming down now - the mountains of Wales are really pepping this more organised band of snow

was keepin an eye on this lot while it was over gloucester way - it's really pepped up since then

beginning to take a hold on the grass - as it's been so dry anyway - senghenydd mountain was waiting for this - as it still had snow from a few days ago on it

Feels like we've just won £10 on the lottery the way these showers have turned into a little band of snow.

Is the snow settling anywhere?

Here in Cardiff it's not settling at all.

Yes on cars and grass in Talbot Green
