Continuous light rain last night turned moderate after midnight and continued through the early hours. The day dawned overcast, rain turned lighter. The morning so far has been overcast with la few spots of light rain.

Just the odd bright spells by late afternoon. The evening saw more intermittent light rain, by mid evening the rain became continuous.

Went for a walk up round Ladybower. Dry at first then light rain which turned to light wet snow/sleet but nothing heavy. Stopped as soon as I got back to the car. Still drifts by the walls and very wet under foot.

Rain at times last night, perhaps some sleet too.

Sunny intervals this morning. Prolonged heavy rain then sleet showers from 1230 turned to snow, very heavy snow 14-1430 gave 2-3cm accumulation in just 30 minutes, the flakes being 3cm wide. Showers ceased by 1500. Sunny after 1700.

Big drop in temperature with the showers from 6c at 1145 to 0.5c by 1420 in the heavy snow, some 5.5c in under 3 hours. Slow thaw after the snowfall but still with a snow cover this evening which is now freezing.

Fairly clear and frosty this evening.
