I should turn the heating off really - but with a house that has four storeys and is rather old it gets chilly quickly unless you stay in the conservatory all the time. Which isn't entirely practical. Exactly this time last week it looked like this:

Its seems so long ago now somehow..

Oh so true!

Funny how people on here are more interested in snow and outside here i have lightning, torrential rain, hailstones and not a breeze to shift this storm.. looks like its gonna get nasty in london and surrounding areas

These places must be made to a formula, here's the one I stayed at in La Palma a couple of years ago:

I'm definitely not one. I've an interest in most types of weather except sunless for days on end (which I really dislike)

Definitely breeze convergence going on across London to trigger these slow-moving storms, obs for London City Airport showing wind from the E - while at Northolt the wind's from the WNW:

Interesting skies now to my north too, but they don't look particularly exciting on the radar.

Perhaps they should build a replica of that in Eastbourne on the costa del Pevensey, save the flights out there.

I can see all the cloud build up from these showers well to the north and north west of me. Typically here closer to the coast with the cold channel at this time of year, and the wind blowing gently off the sea, there is lack of cloud and plenty of sunshinesmile.png

Maybe mine had been photoshopped and Coast's had had an evacution drill, for the time when half of La Palma slides into the Atlantic?tongue.png

I did go at a very quiet time when the kids were in school - its not too touristy down there and the visit to the observatory is amazing!

rofl.gif Or lots of very shy (camera shy) people go to those resortsbiggrin.png

Seems that London is cloudburst central at the moment

We've already got one and I walked past it yesterday!

There is always this in Hastings to splash around in when the weather is freezing cold:

Yes, I did spot a couple of people in my picture lurking behind a palm tree in the top leftph34r.png . It was obviously (to me, having been there) a morning shot and if it was taken in mid summer, it would have been an early morning one, due to reasonable shadow lengths.

It's quite contained over the London area:

I can't see it on the Heathrow webcam though:

Been to Tenerife a few times, lovely island :)

It's been rather drab and benign here today. Just left work and it's cloudy and cold. Boring!
