That would be helpful, just to quantify exactly how much snow I was missing out on. I'll warn you now though that I have a fair collection from 2009/10 and 2010/11 of snow the likes of which your former home would never have seenrofl.gif

Not bad SS, still love the long line of Fannies one..

Happy to report it's gone from rain > sleet to now wet snow here and looking like it could turn into full on superfast at any moment

Edit ; Well into the world of o/t is

- stupidly funny, why anyone filmed it will never know..!?! Even the idea of it makes you chuckle. Edited by lorenzo

GFS getting closer to the NAE, a very sharp boundary between the warmer and the colder air on Tuesday morning:

Before the warmer sector shown above DPs look fine, just need a slight southward adjustment on it to make it an all snow event.

NAE a precipitation upgrade early doors:

Still not up to the crucial timeframe where the less cold uppers threaten to move in.

Cold wins out:

Touch and go but the NAE holds sufficiently for reasonable low ground accumulation due to some very heavy precipitation and near 0C temperatures through the day Tuesday:

Temp up to 2.6ºC here now, last couple of bursts have been rain. Most of the earlier slushy deposits have melted.

Forecast looking cracking though, bring it on!!! :)

Increased wind speed is going to mix out the colder surface air with the current tepid uppers, until the -8C brigade finally arrives through the day tomorrow:
