yep, it's frustrating to know that just 50-60 miles to my north has been and will be a snowfest......Apologies for a bit of IMBYism there, I mean, we saw good snow back in January and yet there's plenty of parts of the region (in particular Devon & Cornwall) that haven't seen a flake yet......

From Matt Hugo;

"Risk of snow likely to extend quite a way south overnight into Sat as the fronts continue to be held further S & SW".

This highlighted by the Met Office FAX chart;

Just starting to get heavier out there again, so glad I live on a hill. Feel for everyone at the bottom of the hills of Cornwall and we have high tide in the next few hours!

Cold rain again in Gloucester overnight, although some of the cars on the motorway suggest further north or on the top of the Cotswolds there must have been some snow.

I expect just more cold rain for tonight / tomorrow as is usually the case.

Conditions here seem to have got a bit better.

The local brook was over it'.s banks yesterday morning. Today,the levels are a lot lower.

I think we had our heaviest rain early yesterday.

Hopefully the Beeb telly forecast is wrong then - because it just showed a bit of snow for SE Midlands into E Anglia and around home counties - not this far west.

Maybe end of next week for us? Or is it another tease?

Further to my post earlier, looks like some serious problems with flooding in Cornwall, again;

have lost the intensity of the rain here now, lets hope it fizzles out now.

Looking like a nice dry week to come so will make the most of that for work! Then it's Easter lol anything could happen then.

Hope all is well down with you .

It's important to listen to what they say , they say during the night it will come south , and showed snow from about the m4 north . Tonight was always the night rather than last night.

Yes we had a lot of snow last night , I looked out about midnight and we had an inch and blowing a blizzard , looked out at 4 and it was raining , woke up this morning and it was thawing . But lots of slushy deposits !!

AWD, does this mean we have a chance of snow? Cheers.

When? Next week?

All speculation this far out so I wouldn't want to say either way yet. Just picking at straws really.

5.7c and cloudy. Looking at the radar its now probably the calm before the storm. We seem to have been lucky so far with rainfall and haven't seen anything heavy with the risk of flooding as of yet. We shall see what happens today. Stay safe.

Yep - and GFS short term prog for precip and type was better than NAE again .....as it has been most of the winter to my recollection.

Sorry, meant tonight into tomorrow mate.

Unlikely in Cardiff and probably nothing in Bristol either. Might get a bit of sleet/wet snow across the Cotswolds and down into Wiltshire and Oxfordshire overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.
