Dont know why there are sad faces about the rain right now. I predicted it yesterday, the models predicted it yesterday. Snow tonight but it looks like being a bit of a flop on the amounts unless tonight lives up to expectations, ground may be a bit too warm but im not sure on that one.

Cheers folks! indeed,as i said earlier sleet has now pretty much transformed to pure flakes of snow blowing about at a fair rate of knots..wow getting heavier as i type.Gonna need alot more before it makes much impact accumulation wise.This time tomorrow may well be a different picture altogether

Snowing a little bit here now after an hour of no snow.. i get the feeling we will all be jumping up and down for joy in a few hours....that lamp post outside my lounge is gonna get a complex after i spend all night giving it the eye. oh just seen the old lady next door clearing her path that normally makes it snow here..

Temp dropping here in West Brom down to 2.2c and DP down to -1c, radar is showing rain turning to sleet on the leading edge from Brum northwards

although the w.midlands is under an amber warning i cant c this beeing meaningful for low level its the higher parts gona catch it. All of last nights snow has now gon, i don't think tonights gona be anything to sing and dance about for the low grounds of the midlands, i really hope i'm fantastickely wrong.

Hey, sad isn't the same as surprised... anyway, currently turned back from rain to sleet here. Far, far too wet to be doing anything on the ground, but those with a bit more altitude should start to enjoy things soon.

Well METO had us down for heavy snow from 9pm tonight, that has now changed to 6pm so maybe things happening a little sooner?
