Been snowing here all day and now it Looks like the front is pivoting and starting to slip south v slowly. Some snow now cropping up in north London inside m25 and showers SE of London. Anyone north of London could do very well tonight!

it has literally been snowing for over 15hours straight here, which is the 3rd (yes, 3rd) time I have experienced such a prolonged fall in the last 3 months (2 others in Leeds). About another cm since my last post, a solid 8+cm on car roofs, expecting 10+ by the end of tonight, which would make this a decent event. with the current date and output, seriously guys (whatever your snow totals - and mine for the year will be way over 40cms by the end of this), what a winter.

hi mate

its amazing to see these set ups now

also as the uppers are not quite as cold to the south of london

ECM0-0.GIF?23-0

ECM0-24.GIF?23-0

at night with heavy burst all areas south should see sleety bits turning to snow from midnight on however

the uppers go the right way so even the lighter showers should be more likely to be snow

just be watch the radar tonight

temps are going to drop quite quick tonight for all as well

Plenty of energy being fed into the system by this last push of vorticity, with some impressive radar returns showing just off the Belgium/Netherlands coast.

Snow has become heavier here once again with pavements turning white again. Its been blowing around quite a bit but I would say we have had about 7cms so far today

The uppers in our neck of the woods was hovering around 0c and coupled with the ppn intensity produced snow, so I'm expecting the same later on when the ppn is over us again.

MetO have just issued a bulletin to the Croydon Council to expect more snow as well biggrin.png

You look likely to get a direct hit from the heavy stuff which is just skirting here at the moment to my North.

I vote we find a pub half way with a warm fire and some decent cider, and watch it fall from there tongue.png

Definitely feels as though its trying to do something here just north of Eastbourne.

In saying that I am half way through a bottle of red so may not be completely accurate.

I'm going to make a jug of our own mulled cider 2011. Didn't get any apples last year so I'm going to test what vintage cider tastes like from the year before— we made 4 gallons of the stuff so might as well make a start…
