    The odd light snow shower over night, leaving a thin fresh covering, and an overnight low of -3.6c.

    Current Conditions.

    Patchy cloud, with the odd clear pocket.

    Temp -2.4c

    Dp -3.2c

    Wind Chill -2.7c, East 7mph.

    Still around 25cm snow remaining and drifts up to 4m, very compacted. Most roads and lanes are now passable.

    A light snow shower earlier this morning makes this the 20th consecutive day with falling sleet or snow and the 21st day this month.

    In the last 36 years the only months to have achieved 20 days with falling sleet or snow are;

    January 1985....24

    January 1984....21

    January 1986....21

    February 1986...21

    January 1978.....20

    December 1993..20

    February 2010...20.

    Currenly dry with hazy sunshine and a temperature, according to the Davis, of -1.9c.

    pretty amazing stats there TM

    here another air and ground frost with a low of -1.1C with 6/8 CuSc so at least somesunshine, a few snow patches left=about 25% ground cover in the back garden no more than 5% at the front.

Ground hard with frost. Still snow patches and small drifts north facing. Many larger drifts over fields up to 1m high.

Just the odd glimpse of the sun. Snow patches and drifts remain, north facing. Still many large drifts in fields up to 1m high.

    A slight thaw of snow today in the sunny spells, still have around 22cm of lying snow and drift's up to 4m in places. A calm day with light winds, a Max Temp of 2.4c.

    A mainly cloudy day after early sunshine, the cloud thick enough to produce a few light snow flurries this morning and a few flakes at times this afternoon. A slow thaw of lying snow this afternoon but it had frozen again by 1630.
