well they wont be too happy while it feels like winter outside... humidity is either a pain, ie today it'll make the air feel much colder, or when it's mild it'll make it feel much warmer!

12c here very windy but the wind feels warm.

No heating on... result.

No warnings for the wind... there should be.

13'c here now.

Less wind and a bit of sun and it would be a lovely day but the forecast is for rain this afternoon although it did say that it wouldn't last to long so hopefully won't spoil the day to much.

The last bits of snow finally melted from our garden yesterday although white patches are still evident against the walls and gully's higher up but the warmer temperatures should make these disappear quite quickly now.

Had enough of snow and frost, just want some warm sunny and dry weather now, something which has been sadly lacking for a long while.

Yes lovely day here and nice and warm this afternoon although tempered by the wind.Went out in the car from work just after lunch and the temperature was showing 17c which if accurate makes it easily the warmest day of the year IMBY.

Looks like 'fun and games' the next couple of hours as this front moves on through, heavy rain followed by clearing skies into the early hours. I would expect to see temps take a nose-dive downwards once the front moved through and giving way to DPs tomorrow that may initiate a shower or two.

Winds have only hit 37mph in Buxton thus far. Estimates had it at 60-70mph for coasts and 50-60mph for inland areas, we've yet to have the worst of the pressure gradient move through.

Due between midnight and 3am according to the GFS. It's windy enough already!

Crosby weather station recorded 61mph gust earlier but they've increased in strength since. School run could be fun in the morning :-(

Really windy here in Crosby, not seen it this windy for quite a while. I am not very good at estimating wind strength, however I would say between 60 and 70 MPH gusts at times.

wow Capel Curig met office station in north Wales recorded a gust of 81 MPH at last observation.

OMG just had a really strong gust here, this feels like a proper autumn atlantic storm not a passing spring front.

Indeed, it seems as if the Atlantic is now taking the opportunity to let of some real steam after being suppressed for so long.

It's been rough up here tonight,  Rattling the slates..  Some scary big gusts.  Wind comes all the way from Crosby to our back door.

It's a long time since we had a big gale.

So this must be March going out like a lion.
