Last weeks Man Lab, Episode 2 of the new series, featured James May trying to capture lightning and in this IPlayer version (available for the next 4 weeks). Watch carefully, or freeze frame the action on the second part of his storm chase and see what he uses for his lightning strike data!!! (does that mean he has a subscription then?)
