Seems to have dried up now, on and off snow showers till about 1pm. Cloudy and cold, 4.1C.

Love cold and snow but it's now just a pain in the rear, it's the incessant cold I think!

Quite odd to have 2 whole days with almost constant hazy sunshine due to Cirrus but that's what's happened yesterday and today! A few light showers earlier this afternoon but dry now and pleasant at 10.2c with a gentle SE breeze.

It was interesting both in the drive to the Dolgellau area on Friday and returning today just how much more snow there is on the A494 and the hills around compared to the Peak.

Even this morning there are areas still with 70% snow cover and at a lower altitude than the Peak. Comparing the Woodhead top to some parts around the Bala area almost to the final drop towards Ellesmere and the Welsh area must have had considerably more snow than Derbyshire or so it seemed to me. For sure any though of climbing Cader Idris was a total non starter.
