    Thanks Steve. That wikipedia link actually mentions UFOs, so definitely the right things. We often get them at this time of year and they can be spectacular.

    Can anyone tell me what type of clouds these are and how they form? They often appear above the mountains here in southern Spain looking like UFOs.

    they are ufo like because they are artificial clouds generated by the ufos inside the cloud !

    Ah I thought I recognised those mountains then saw the link on the picture and your username - I stayed in Nerja on a uni field trip in January, and on the day before we left I saw some quite interesting ones in the morning smile.png
