Morning all, what a glorious Sunday with a max of 22c here in Gravesend, there was a marked difference early in the day, drove through some quite heavy rain on M20 at Ashford around 9.00am but was sunny by the time I got back to Gravesend at 9.30am and despite the odd very light shower and strong wind is was definitely a summer like day, with plenty of gardening completed as well as the first gnat bite of the year as I was gardening quite late into the evening in shorts and T-shirt - bad decision!

 

Looking like a fairly dry week this week and never as warm as Sunday and with a north-westerly flow towards and over next weekend with a possible return of night frosts, so gardeners beware!

 

Lovely sunny start here.

Bright grey skies at the office in Harefield, but much less windy today, feels like the sun may get through in which case it will probably feel almost as warm as yesterday in the lighter winds

Thrilled to reveal that my wife gave birth to our baby Noah yesterday morning at dawn; considering my loathing for anything flood related a slightly ironic name

Hopefully his arrival is greeted with some Spring warmth!

I've not been around much on here the past couple of days, but I trust you have all been out enjoying the lovely spring like weather?  Yesterday was lovely, today is slightly more colder with more cloud - but all in all, no complaints from me - it looks like we are finally turning a corner weather wise to more seasonal spring like temperatures

Rumours coming through that devices have been found a mile West of the explosions and in Newton, 9 miles from Boston. Clearly this may be a wide scale attack. 

Anyway I should remind myself this is a weather page.

The sun has occasionally burst through here in Harefield where it is dry and mild.  Drizzle at home when I left at 6:30 am but that had faded away by the time I got to, roughly, Heathrow. 

 

A succession of uninspiring meetings looms ahead today - need some sunshine please, both inside and outside the office!

Yep, the cloud is stubborn here too. It has the feeling of brightening up, just as the Sun sets...

 

Anyway, the weekend is looking good for sunshine in the SE, although the nights will be chilly. Very nice April weather imho. - good walking weather.

however the afternoon should be warm and sunny

 

should be close or maybe reach 20 degrees in some areas tomorrow

 

it looks to cool down over the next few days although hopefully stay mainly dry
