Until about 5pm it was mostly dry with sunny spells and a couple of brief rain/hail showers, but a zone of significant convective activity has drifted slowly southwards through northern England and has been upon Sandhutton since 5pm, and one cell gave a few rumbles of thunder.

Currently having a graupel shower with a temperature of 5.1C. The day's maximum was 12.2C (temperatures across Yorkshire have generally been higher than I expected) at 2:30pm, following an overnight minimum of 2.7C.
