Light rain died away before midnight leaving variable cloud. The day dawned party cloudy and dry. The morning to observation has been party cloudy with some sunny spells, though cloud also bubbling rapidly with showers in the vicinity. The day saw bright sunny spells, but also heavy showers scattered around, one of these briefly turned wintry at this location with soft hail and sleet around lunchtime. Feeling cold in the wind, though pleasant out of the wind and in the sun. The evening saw another light short light shower before clearing skies followed.

Heavy rain and hail showers pushed on by a brisk northerly with a current temp of 4.9c.

Odd glimpses of the sun being so high in the sky give the time of year away otherwise it could be January out there.

A good deal of cloud during the morning with sleet showers at first and light hail showers later, also some short sunny intervals between the showers.

The afternoon began with the heaviest shower of the day around 1215 g.m.t. Hail whitened the ground temporarily during the shower and, as the temperature fell to 1.6c towards the end of it, there was a spell of sleet and wet snow flakes.

After this there were a few light hail and rain showers with increasing amounts of sunshine later in the afternoon as Cu began to disperse.
